Deep pocket (fitted sheet)

The pocket of a fitted sheet is the depth of the elasticated "cap" that wraps the mattress — the distance between the sleeping surface and the elastic edge, in centimetres. A 25 cm pocket suits a mattress up to 20 cm thick; a 30 cm pocket, our standard, wraps mattresses up to 27-30 cm without slackening overnight.

This is THE detail that makes fitted sheets pop off in Morocco: mattresses here are often thick (springs plus a topper), and the standard European 25 cm pocket lets go at the corners. Measure your mattress thickness before buying: the "thickness + 5 cm" rule gives the minimum pocket depth. All our fitted sheets come with a 30 cm deep pocket.
