White Flat Sheets — the Hotel Standard

The flat sheet is the secret of the hotel bed: tucked square between the sleeper and the blanket, it produces that taut, crisp bed no duvet cover can reproduce — and it washes, dries and presses far faster than a cover. That is why hotels swear by it, and why Airbnb hosts who adopt it save precious time at every changeover.

Two formats, cut generously

The 240×280 is deliberately oversized: on a 160 (≈ Queen) bed it leaves 40 cm to tuck on each side and a wide fold-back at the head — the true hotel tuck, not a sheet that comes untucked at the first turn. On a 140 the drape is even more ample; on a 180 (≈ King) it remains enough for a clean tuck.

Flat sheet or duvet cover?

• Flat sheet: changed in 2 minutes, light washing, quick drying, a squared bed — the choice of professionals and fast rotations. In the Moroccan summer, it also serves as the only cover.
• Duvet cover: enveloping comfort, no separate blanket — the at-home choice. See the duvet covers.

Many riads combine the two: flat sheet for hygiene (it isolates the blanket), duvet for looks. If you are equipping a rental, count one flat sheet per set per rotation.
