White Bath Mats, Dense 700 GSM Terry

The bath mat is the detail that separates a decent bathroom from a hotel bathroom: laid folded at the foot of the shower, white and thick, it absorbs water instead of letting it run across the floor. Ours is 700 GSM terry cotton — heavier than our towels (550 GSM), because a mat works under wet feet and must take the load without flattening.

The 80×50 format covers the shower or bathtub exit without swallowing the room, and goes through the machine with the rest of the white linen — the whole difference with rubber-backed mats, which tolerate neither hot washing nor tumble-drying and turn grey within months.

Why a terry mat rather than a carpet-style one?

• Hygiene: washable at 60°C, it comes back genuinely clean — essential when the bathroom serves different guests every week.
• Rotation: it dries on the towel rail and is replaced identically; hotels lay a fresh one per stay.

At home, two per bathroom (one out, one in the wash). In short-term rentals, three per bathroom, like the sheet sets — a tired mat shows instantly in review photos.
