Care
Wash at 60°C, strong spin, airy drying. Go easy on fabric softener: used at every wash it coats the fibres and reduces absorbency. Wash separately the first time (new terry sheds a little lint — normal, and it stops).

What does 550 GSM actually mean?
Grams of terry per square metre — the measure that determines whether a towel absorbs and stays plush. 550 GSM is the 4-star hotel standard; supermarket towels sit around 350-400 GSM and rarely say so.
Is it 100% cotton?
Yes, the terry is cotton — unlike our bed linen, which is polycotton. For a towel, cotton is non-negotiable: it does the absorbing.
Does it dry fast enough between uses?
Hung on an airy towel rail, yes — that is the balance of 550 GSM: dense without the sponginess of a 700 GSM. In rental rotation, simply keep 3 sets, as with the sheets.
Why is it pricier than some 'hotel' towels seen elsewhere?
Compare the stated weight (often missing) and the VAT-inclusive price (trade suppliers often quote ex-VAT). At a genuine 550 GSM, VAT included, sold singly with no minimum, ours compares favourably.
